Back to the Future in Concert: We attended the Film with Live Orchestra Featuring the South Florida Symphony Orchestra

Policing and Parkinson’s Disease: Encounters, Training, and the Need for Awareness

Exciting news. I was asked to Present on “Policing and Parkinson’s Disease: Encounters, Training, and the Need for Awareness” to my Police Department. I hope this will be the beginning of a major discussion on this topic which is desperately needed for PD awareness and then spread across FL, then the entire country!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please share and reach out to your police departments, sheriff departments and all law enforcement agencies.

If we can add this training to every academy and Police department plus, ask your local and national politicians and representatives to add the words “Parkinson’s Disease” to all Police Academy training and specialized training courses for Sworn Officers, we would change the world for so many and bring awareness to police but additional safety for People diagnosed with Parkinson’s and their families.

We had the honor of touring the Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases (IND) with Christopher M. Janney, PhD Principal Scientist & Lab Manager. It was both educational and fascinating to finally see what the literal scientists and researchers are doing 24/7 towards a PD Cure.

This book provides an in-depth review of the journeys of those diagnosed with PD, advocates, and caregivers. The emphasis is on the importance of slowing the progression of PD through sports. In providing this information, the hope is that until the cure is discovered, we can provide valuable information, avenues, and information covering multiple sports and their effect on those battling PD. Also noted are sports, which need more research and lack these results.

Finally, if those battling PD know about various exercises, fitness, and improving health through specific sports, then progression can be maintained and slowed down. This could result in longer health spans and maintaining the ability to allow the reader to combat PD until the cure is found. In addition, providing multiple sport analysis will benefit so many to not be discouraged if they do not enjoy or participate in one sport because so many others exist today which through awareness can be beneficial.

We have assembled a variety of experts worldwide to share their experiences, research, and evidence through their journeys that, in many cases, through specific sports, the progression of PD can be slowed down, and in many cases, allows each to live a productive life and maintain longer coping mechanisms.
